Reviews and Ratings
The hotel's rooms, though compact as described, were a bit pricey for their size and lacked proper servicing during my stay. On the bright side, the service was welcoming and accommodating, especially towards our young daughter. The location was fantastic with the staff being exceptionally friendly and helpful. The dining experience offered ample choices, though traditional. Overall, the hotel needs a bit of improvement but has its charms.
The hotel is in a great location in the center of one of the most interesting towns in the Cotswolds. The rooms have been decorated since our last stay, and my wife was delighted with the ice-cold shower. The staff were extremely accommodating, particularly in welcoming our 7 yr old cocker spaniel in both room and bar areas, though there was a slight incident with a waiter at the restaurant. The dining experience was okay, and straight from the hotel, you can explore antiques shops. We enjoyed our stay overall.
The hotel had satisfactory rooms, with two medium-sized beds, but the layout on two levels wasn't preferable. The service was friendly and attentive, especially towards our excitable puppy. The location was right in the town center, perfect for walking everywhere. The dining experience was disappointing with limited breakfast options that did not meet our standard. Overall, the hotel offers a decent value for the money spent.
